Material : Stainless Steel Sheets (usually SS304 or SS316 grade for corrosion resistance).
Thickness : Typically 1.0mm to 2.0mm, depending on design strength.
Check : Surface finish (No.4 matte or polished) and thickness tolerance.
Process : CNC Laser Cutting or Shearing.
Purpose : To cut the steel sheet into pre-defined sizes based on CAD design.
Equipment : CNC laser cutting machine (for precision slots, logo, or pattern cutouts) Hydraulic shearing machine (for rough cutting large sheets).
Process : CNC Press Brake.
Purpose : To bend the sheet into the desired shape
Examples : Channel tray (U or V shape) Edge flanges Grate curvature (if any)
Process : TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welding.
Purpose : To join parts like the outlet pipe, end caps, or frame joints.
Steps : SPosition parts in jig for accuracy TIG weld with filler rod (SS compatible) Grind welds smooth after cooling
Process : Grinding, Polishing, or Brushing.
Purpose : To remove welding marks, burrs, and give a uniform surface finish.
Check : Uniform grain direction and no surface defects.
Process : Fiber Laser Engraving.
Purpose : To permanently mark the brand name, logo, or model number on the grate or frame.
Tests Include : - Dimensional accuracy (with Vernier & gauges)
- Weld joint strength
- Surface finish uniformity
- Drainage test (water flow check)
- Anti-rust and leakage inspection
Assembly : Insert filter, hair trap, or inner grate. Fit rubber gaskets or outlet adaptors if required.
Packaging : Clean with isopropyl alcohol (remove oil marks) Bubble wrap and protect with foam corners Pack in printed carton boxes with brand details.
